In addition, racing historians and authors will be attending the event, including author/histroian Tom Motter, who will promoting his latest book, Sacramento, Dirt Capital of the West. Motter has penned an excellent series of historical racing books, including BCRA: The First 50 Years, a History of the Bay Cities Racing Association, Indoors! A History of West Coast Indoor Midget Racing, A History of the Oakland Speedway 1931-1941 and A History of Oakland Stadium 1946-1955. Motter will be on-hand all day to sign autographs and discuss his latest book, Sacramento, Dirt Capital of the West, which is Volume 4 in his “Tracks of the West” series.

Adding to the historical racing collection will be longtime racing photographer Dennis Mattish, who will be present with his new book, History of San Jose Auto Racing 1903-2007. The book covers the 100-plus year history of auto racing in San Jose, documenting the early days of San Jose racing with the likes of Barney Oldfield attempting to set world speed records, all the way up to the 2007 San Jose Grand Prix. Everything in between, from Sprint Cars, drag racing, Midgets, Modifieds, Hardtops, and more are covered in this excellent book.

Additional racing authors, organizations, race tracks and vendors will be announced soon.
