Midget Lites
Considered the younger brother of Midgets, Midget Lites, also known as Mini Sprints are extremely similar to their bigger brother, the Midgets, except that they utilize smaller and lighter motorcycle engines up to 1,200cc. Unlike their big brothers that have a quick-change style rear end (removable gears engine/axle gear ratio), the Midget Lites are chain driven and feature starters and clutches.
Running both with and without wings, Midget Lites offer the open wheel racer an incredible bang for their buck, with engines costing a fraction of those in Midgets and Sprint Cars. Budget-minded racers coming up from ¼ Midgets and Karts should strongly consider getting into the Midget Lite race class.
